Protection of rubber against oxidation, ozone, flexcracking and poisoning by copper and manganese. Antidegradant in natural rubber, styrene-butadiene, nitrile-butadiene, butadiene and chloroprene rubber.

This compound is used as a disinfectant, as an intermediate in classical synthesis of pseudopelleterine, as a tanning agent in leather, and in the sterilization of endoscopic instruments, dental and barber equipment, thermometers, rubber or plastic equipment which cannot be heat sterilized. Used also as embalming fluid, in electron microscopy. Hardener for photographic gelatin. Pharmacological agent used for hyperhidrosis and antifungal purposes and for treatment of warts and some bullous diseases as well as herpes infections. ABCD. GLUTARAL.

Textile dye of azo type. Dye in acetate, nylon, silk, wool, and cotton. Stocking dye.

Antidegradant added to rubber products. Inhibitor in acrylic resins. May cause depigmentation.

Resin used in adhesives for shoes and watch straps. Also in do-it-yourself glues, plywood, insulation, automobiles, motor oils, inks, papers, film developers, disinfectants, deodorants. (PTBP). May cause depigmentation.

USES: Azo dye intermediate; photographic developing agent; photo- chemical measurements; intermediate in manufacture of antioxidants and accelerators for rubber; laboratory reagent; dye hair and fur; lithography; photocopying; oils; greases; gasoline and as antioxidant/accelerator in the rubber and plastic industry. In nickel-plating, as mordant in dyeing and printing textiles, blackening zinc and brass, nickel and nickel carbonate catalysts, coatings, ceramics and manufacture of organic nickel salts (e.g. nickel ammonium sulfate). Yellow resin in the production of varnishes, printing inks, paper, soldering fluxes, greases, cutting fluids, glue tackifiers, adhesives, surface coatings, polish, insulations, waxes, cosmetics (mascara, rouge, eye shadow), topical medicaments, shoes, violin bow rosin, clay, athletic grip aid, pine oil cleansers. Component in dental impression materials and periodontal packings.

This compound is used as a preservative, disinfectant and antiseptic, in embalming solutions and in the manufacture of phenolic resins, artificial silk, cellulose esters, dyes, urea, thiourea, melamine resins, organic chemicals, glass mirrors and explosives. It is also used in improving fastness of dyes on fabrics, in tanning and preserving hides, in mordanting and waterproofing fabrics, as a germicide and fungicide for vegetables and other plants, in destroying flies and other insects, in preserving and coagulating rubber latex and to prevent mildew and spelt in wheat and rot in oats. It is used to render casein, albumin, and gelatin insoluble, in chemical analysis, as a tissue fixative, as a component of particle board and plywood and in the manufacture of Pentaerythritol, Hexamethylenetetramine and 1,4-Butanediol. It is also used in ceiling and wall insulation, in resins used to wrinkle-proof fabrics, in photography for hardening gelatin plates and papers, for toning gelatin-chloride papers and for chrome printing and developing. It is an intermediate in drug manufacture and a pesticide intermediate. Used in the production of urea, phenolic melamine and acetale resins. In textile products. Inhibitor of corrosion in metal pickling solutions; accelerator for mercaptanmodified chloroprene rubber. Antidegradant for natural, nitrile-butadiene, styrene-butadiene, and chloroprene rubbers.

Primary standard for acids; accelerator for the vulcanization of rubber for use with thiazoles and sulfenamides; complexing agent in the detection of metals and organic bases

The methylchloro isothiazolinone component in Kathon biocides, for use as a preservative in oil and cooling fluids, soaps, latex emulsions, slime control in paper mills, jet fuels, milk sampling, radiography, printing inks, moist toilet paper, detergents, shampoos, hair conditioners, hair & body gels, bubble baths, skin creams & lotions, mascaras, etc. Kathon CG: contains also methylisothiazolinone and magnesium salts. This compound is used as a dye for lacquer, varnish, wax products, oil stains and styrene resins. It is used in insecticides. It is also used as an intermediate in the manufacture of acid yellow, diazo dyes and indulines.

USES: This compound is used as a mildewcide, as a bactericide, as a fungicide, as a biocide in cooling-tower water, in paints, cutting oils, cosmetics and shampoos, and for leather preservation. It is also used as a wound protectant for pruning cuts

Vulcanisation agent in synthetic rubber and natural rubber, used for tyres, air chambres and rubber belts.

Use: This compound is used as an antifungal substance in products such as sofas, helmets, clothes etc. It is packed normally in pads where the substance sublimates and might penetrate leather etc.
