Indications

The indication for intradermal tests is simple: they should be used for selecting which elements to include in a desensitisation treatment (anti-allergen vaccination).

They may also be used for informative purposes (for example, if the owner wishes to know which airborne allergens his/her animal is allergic to), but under no circumstances should they be used as a tool for diagnosing allergic dermatitis (refer to the section on the interpretation of intradermal reactions).
